Online backgammon tournaments
If you’re a new online backgammon player, you may want to test your skills against some of the free software programmes available at online sites. However, if you’re comfortable with your gaming prowess, the time may be right to try your hand at a backgammon tournament. In typical backgammon games, players compete against each other to earn a coveted spot in the final. The two players to achieve the highest number of points in the previous rounds face off in the final, with the winner claiming most of the prize money collected from other players during the tournament.
There are many kinds of backgammon tournaments that you can enter such as the sit and go tournament or the swing, which is a tournament contest where all the players start with an equal amount of chips. The play continues until one person has, accumulated all the chips and walks away the winner. In this tournament players are randomly matched against each other for a single game and each player starts with an initial stake that is set by the chips per point system. When the game starts, if a player has less than the required stake he would immediately be considered as all in. The chips per point would be raised every few minutes in the tournament, but will not be raised during a single game and the rating of each player would be shown at the end of each single game.
